Here’s the truth about life: it's uncomfortable.
Life is uncomfortable and tough, hard and chaotic - and we sometimes lose ourselves in it. But life is also growth, discovery, surprise and joy. Life is full of emotions that can be overwhelming and confusing, but once understood, can be transformative. If you want a therapist to help guide you towards your emotional, mental and physical goals - while also meeting you where you’re at without judgment - then I am likely a good fit for you. In my sessions, you’ll find a compassionate, safe, space where you will be gently challenged to discover, learn and grow. I often work with adults struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, conflict and sexuality.
I am known for my warm, creative, determined and honest approach with individuals and couples. I have extensive training in the treatment of sexual reactivity, sexual issues, anxiety and life transitions. I worked in a residential treatment setting for children, adolescents and their families for 4 years, providing individual and family therapy. I also spent 4+ years working in the domestic violence and sexual assault fields, including roles as a hotline specialist and a shelter staff. I've worked both domestically and internationally with refugees and migrants as well. I am goal-oriented and encourage my clients to be active participants in therapy - both in and out of session. At the end of the day, I know you are the expert in your own life. I am merely here to help make the journey a bit easier to handle.
If I sound like the kind of clinician you want, or need, to help empower you to learn, grow and process whatever is on your mind, then please reach out. I’m currently only accepting telehealth clients.
Life is uncomfortable. Life is emotions. Life is asking for help. I'd love to hear from you.
